The Professional Aircraft Appraisal Organization (PAAO) is a new professional aircraft appraisers organization created and designed to offer it members an opportunity to be part of a premier professional aircraft and component appraisal organization.

The PAAO has been developed to offer professional aircraft and aviation related certified appraisals that are of the highest quality prepared by aviation experts. Our only focus is on aircraft appraisals. The level of quality offered by this organization is based on the highest level of appraisal standards prepared by highly trained experts with extensive knowledge and experience in the aviation industry.

Application Process

The steps in the acceptance process will be the submission of an application that does not guarantee acceptance in the PAAO. A background in aviation is necessary. If you have any questions please contact us prior to submitting your application.

All information submitted will remain confidential and reviewed by a board of aircraft appraisers for acceptance or rejection.  A background check of all applicants is required. The final decision to accept or reject an applicant are not reviewable.  False or misleading statements will be grounds for rejection.  Incomplete applications or information which was requested and not submitted may also be grounds for rejection.

 The PAAO will require a $50.00 application processing fee payable at the time of application.  The fee is a one-time fee that and covers the costs of processing your application.  The application processing fee is non-refundable. If accepted there is a $550.00 Associate fee for The Professional Aircraft Appraisal Organization (PAAO)   The fee covers development and maintenance of a new websites, development and maintenance of software tools, access to all training programs and mentoring along with access to JetNet’s reduced rates.  The charge will only apply to those accepted into the PAAO.

The normal monthly dues for membership will be based on the level of the Appraiser.    A Senior Appraiser will be based at $240/  month.  All dues are billed on the 20th day of the month following an accepted application and are due on the 1st day of the month. Most associates just use automatic payments. Failure to honor the payments will result in suspended privileges under the PAAO.

Training Structure

Once an applicant has been approved and is ready to learn how to appraise an aircraft the PAAO has a new program for training. First you will need to complete the USPAP (The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) course which can be done in class or online with several organizations. We present those concepts in class that lets you take the units needed in an orderly and sensible fashion within a one week course.  There are questions to answer to help you understand the course there is a fee for the course is currently $9000 which will be invoiced when you signup for the "event" on the events page and after we have enough students to hold the course.  Once the fee is paid, we will process you for the training.  Those who have done so have informed us the course is well worth the effort and the information presented is exactly what they needed.  Completion of the course allows you to use our Appraisal Software to assist with the process. You will learn about that in the class. 

Beyond that the PAAO has "recurrent" training for our associates that is required every two years. At present all of that information to assure they are up to date is in the "Systems and Procedures Class" that is also on the training system. That "event" is also available in the EVENTS pages.
