The Professional Aircraft Appraisal Organization (PAAO) is a new professional aircraft appraisers organization created and designed to offer it members an opportunity to be part of a premier professional aircraft and component appraisal organization.

The PAAO has been developed to offer professional aircraft and aviation related certified appraisals that are of the highest quality prepared by aviation experts. Our only focus is on aircraft appraisals. The level of quality offered by this organization is based on the highest level of appraisal standards prepared by highly trained experts with extensive knowledge and experience in the aviation industry.

Application Process

The steps in the acceptance process will be the submission of an application that does not guarantee acceptance in the PAAO. A background in aviation is necessary. If you have any questions please contact us prior to submitting your application.

All information submitted will remain confidential and reviewed by a board of aircraft appraisers for acceptance or rejection.  A background check of all applicants is required. The final decision to accept or reject an applicant are not reviewable.  False or misleading statements will be grounds for rejection.  Incomplete applications or information which was requested and not submitted may also be grounds for rejection.

 The PAAO will require a $50.00 application processing fee payable at the time of application.  The fee is a one-time fee that and covers the costs of processing your application.  The application processing fee is non-refundable. If accepted there is a $550.00 Associate fee for The Professional Aircraft Appraisal Organization (PAAO)   The fee covers development and maintenance of a new websites, development and maintenance of software tools, access to all training programs and mentoring along with access to JetNet’s reduced rates.  The charge will only apply to those accepted into the PAAO.

The normal monthly dues for membership will be based on the level of the Appraiser.  A basic appraiser will be at $160.00 / month.  A Senior Appraiser will be based at $170.00 /  month.  All dues are billed on the 20th day of the month following an accepted application and are due on the 1st day of the month. Most associates just use automatic payments. Failure to honor the payments will result in suspended privileges under the PAAO.

Training Structure

Once an applicant has been approved and is ready to learn how to appraise an aircraft the PAAO has the ONLY on-line education program for the industry!  A Basic Aircraft Appraisal Class is needed and required so that all facets of how to look at, understand, and value an aircraft are fully understood.  We present those concepts in an online class that lets you take the units needed in an orderly and sensible fashion and do so at your pace, at your convenience, and at the speed you wish to move forward.  There are questions to answer to help you understand the course and you may repeat content as much as you need in order to grasp all the presented material. There is a fee for the course of $5000 which will be invoiced when you signup for the "event" on the events page.  Once the fee is paid, we will process you for the training. You will receive an email with your username and password and some basic instructions for using the training site. Those who have done so have informed us the course is well worth the effort and the information presented is exactly what they needed. 

Beyond that the PAAO has "recurrent" training for our associates that is required every three years. At present all of that information to assure they are up to date is in the "Systems and Procedures Class" that is also on the training system. That "event" is also available in the EVENTS pages. 

We also have a "General Course" that is not required but is available which covers some great information on using Windows, MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and others. It also has some very good courses to assist you in your business practices. Those courses will be expanded and the number will increase. There is a fee for those of $120 per year to any associate. Several have already subscribed and are enjoying the content presented.
