The PAAO does not endorse any specific group, site or company when it comes to USPAP training and recurrency for personal property.  Some of our Associates have used the sites below in their recurrency.  Just make sure you make the selection for Personal Property and upload your certificate to your profile.

We do have a link to the ONLY company offering fully On-Line both initial and recurrent training on the training site for our associates. This is done at a special for PAAO.   PAAO-McKissock  Should that not work, call McKissock at 800.328.2008  Be sure to tell them :"on-state specific" course.

I would appreciate any feedback, good or bad, about these sites.  Thus far, there seems to be an issue with one site and the state you reside in as they could not issue a certificate for a given state (odd but OK).  I am not aware of any other issues at this time.

    Good luck

A recording of the annual Town Hall meeting of the PAAO is on the site.  Any appraiser (intern, basic or senior) should be able to access it here.

Let me know if you have problems.

An article was written a few days ago by an appraiser in the real estate industry which speaks to the loss of "public trust" and what that really means to their industry - and by extension to ours as well.  Note that "promoting the public trust" is in our Value Statement which speaks to the focus of the PAAO.

The article highlighted an erosion of public trust over the years along with the appraisal industry's lack of interest in address the issue.  The author pointed out an absence of criminal background checks (which the PAAO implemented DAY 1), an absence of ethical training (which is incorporated into our training program) and pressure by the banking industry for appraisers to develop pre-determined numbers or results (something forbidden in our Ethics Statement which we all signed).

Each Associate should take a few minutes to read this article and think about how you and your business are promoting the public trust in your day to day activities.

Without individual effort by each and every Associate, this is all just "words on paper".

We have added a field to all levels called WebSite-Address.

If you want to list your website address please "EDIT YOUR PROFILE" be sure to use the FULL web address  like  https://myfullwebaddress.com  when you enter your web site information.

This will be used in the locator.  That locator is now available to our associates to try at http://www.appraiseaplane.biz/members  (or you can reach it from the upper menu on that site.
